Rauf Hussein (GIS/Geotechnical Engineer, NiS) received the B.Sc. degree in geology from the College of Science, University of Mosul, Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq, the M.Sc., and the Ph.D. degrees in near-surface geophysics from the Applied Science Program, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, in 2016 and 2020, respectively. From 2009 to 2014, he was with the Directorate of Geological Survey and Mineral Investigation of Duhok, Iraq. He is now with the Nelson Intelligence Solutions, LLC. His research interests include developing geospatial web apps, creating GIS tools and real-time feeds and integrating GPR with GIS.

Devon is Nelson Intelligence Solutions lead Drone Pilot, specializing in Surveillance, Flight Planning, Photogrammetry, Infrared Thermography, and LiDAR. Devon is Part 107 Certified as a Commercial Drone Pilot with 4 years of flight experience including creation and development of a Law enforcement Drone Program for the Arkansas Department of Corrections. In addition to his Pilot duties, Devon serves as a Team lead at our Arkansas Office, supporting NGA Land Cover production efforts. Before becoming a GIS Professional, Devon spent over 12 years in Law Enforcement roles in the State of Arkansas. He began his GIS career while majoring in Geospatial Analysis and Intelligence at Delta State University. Devon possesses a wealth of experience using a variety of GIS Software to include, ENVI, R Studio, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ERDAS IMAGINE.

His interest lies in applying GIS and remote sensing technology in solving complex forest problems.

Dr. Zurqani is a recognized expert as a result of his internationally acclaimed work in the areas of environmental information science, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, land evaluation, sustainability, pedology, and soil science education. He has conducted cutting-edge research across the world, including the United States of America, and Africa, and has served as PI, co-PI, or co-investigator on several grants-funded research projects. Dr. Zurqani is highly collaborative as evidenced by his publications. He is the author and co-author of many peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and technical publications (including teaching laboratory manuals).

Sharon Hawkins is the Section Head of the GIS and Mapping Section at the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT). Sharon grew up in Greenbrier, Arkansas and currently resides in Saline County with her husband, Joe. Her career with the ARDOT began in 1999 as a Cartographer I. Her Section is responsible for maintaining and publishing the Arkansas State Highway (Tourist) Map, producing county and city maps, performing GIS functions for the Transportation Planning and Policy Division as well as other offices at the ARDOT. Sharon is an active member of the GIS community not only in Arkansas but also with the nationwide transportation GIS community as a member of the GIS-T committee. Sharon graduated in the spring of 1999 from the University of Central Arkansas with a B.A. in Geography.
